About Us

Carbontek was started in 1993 in Alton, Hampshire. Initially the business was Fireblade orientated. Ten years later the company moved to Norwood in South London where we started to expand into other makes of bikes and a dyno was added to the services. Due to lack of space and the growth of the company we moved to a larger unit in Redhill, Surrey where we were able to offer an even wider range of services including customising and tuning. We also got involved in racing at club level and even tried our hands in the British Superbike Championships in 2003. We have continued to compete at club level in the Bemsee and MRO championships since then up to present. We have a excellent relationship with three of the top selling bike publications - Superbike magazine, Two Wheels Only and Streetfighter magazine. Bikes we have created have been featured in these great mags and they also use us for advice, information and horsepower figures for the latest bikes.

In 2006 we moved to our new location in Whyteleafe, Surrey. After eight months of refurbishment we opened our latest store and joined forces with Yamaha.

Our aim is to give our customers the best service and advice possible and cater for individual needs and requirements.

We are now an exclusive premier dealer of new Yamaha bikes, scooters and accessories. As well as new Yamahas, we offer a range of second hand bikes (all models) and can help you with arranging finance and insurance! Our sales and service team is second to none - a long term team that love working on bikes and are kept up to date with ongoing YMUK training.

We also manufacture carbon fibre and glass fibre parts for most of the common Japanese and Italian sports bikes.

Our new clothing department has Shark helmets, TCX boots (formally Oxtar) and Richa leathers and textiles. So whether you're after a budget helmet or top of the range leathers, we should have something to suit you. If we haven’t got it in stock, just ask and we can order it in for you.
